신실 Shin Shil: Fruit of Faith

The title of this book is my Korean name, Shin Shil meaning “fruit of faith”. I block printed and bound this book by hand to record and honor the story of my family. It documents the places we moved, the hardships we have overcome, and the connections that make my family what it is today. This book is very important to me because it reminds me that I come from generations of strong, resilient, and creative people. My family’s story reminds me that although death, division, and oppression are powerful; choosing to love is stronger. I take myself and my purpose seriously because I am the fruit of generations of faith, 신실.
